im done w/ my lasik. i went for de appointment alone. *proud*
i made de rite choice by not watching de process via YouTube/any other medias. *lolZ*
seriously, things don't look tat scary if u r lying there.. since u cant reli get to see de process.. how ur cornea get tat flap, how doc/laser machine cut it.. how they open ur eyes so wide it looks as if u r bein forced to, how de laser go thru ur eyes.. blah blah blah..
they made me wear a shower cap w/ my hair not fully tucked in and a white "dress" on top of my tee. then we open de door and ta-da~! i saw 2 machines, a bed and some assistants.
de bed was rather high and instead of restin my butt and then shift my legs up, i tried climbin up!! so sia suay when i cldnt get up in my 1st attempt.
AND I DIDNT REALIZE MY "MISTAKE"!!
i literally jumped abit then climbed up again. tis time v pleased tat i made my way up. :S
i saw a red flashin dot.. de red dot all wld tell u abt when u asked them abt their lasik. so as expectedly, doc said,"keep focusin on tat red dot."
ok, focus, focus.
"Look down to yr feet. Look up again. Look straight."
DONE. my eyes was pried wide opened.
"Now we will shift u to de machine where it cut ur flap." then de bed juz got swinged over to de machine beside me.
left eye done. rite eye done.
seriously, i got real nervous and sometimes, my eyes juz wondered off w/o my knowin.. i think i got wanderin eyes or distracting mind, whicheva tat it. but im glad. i think i perform well. haha! oh btw, i dunno why but de red flashin dot floated all ard instead of stickin to de same position.. make me damn nervous coz i feel as if de whole room was going in circles.. made me giddy sia~
so after cuttin de flap, it seem liked there were lotsa bubbles inside tat blocked my vision.
"ok, ur flap is cut. excellent. now u wait outside for a while before we do de lasik."
"ok," but i lied there and realized i reli cldnt see a shit, "can someone hold my hands and walk me out? i cant see anything."
"sure, sure." Nurse held me out.
after waitin for wat seem like a thousand yrs, i was once again ready to get into tat room.
i lied there and cldnt reli fig out wat de doc was doin.. maybe coz my cornea was flapped up.
but i thot he was scrappin off some particulars from my cornea. Errkkkk! DISGUSTING~!!
then de lasik began and i smelt burning.. v SMELLY lor.. then i started to feel nervous again.
"it will be over soon. deep breath, deep breath.. relax~"
so after my left eye was done, i was again ushered outta de room, "u kick my slippers!" i laughed at de nurse who was gigglin.. ahh..~ i think im reli relaxed.. haha!
"u noe de laser is liked.. so smelly~" i wanted to complete de sentence, "smells like burnt cuttlefish.."
"u noe they are actually burning ur tissues.." then we walked into de room again.
burnin my tissues? ahh~ so my tissues smells like cuttle fish.. (-_-)lll...
then after de doc examined my eyes, i walked off alone. my vision was blurred but i can still see vague images. so i went to de Food Junction and got myself a pack of guava. *yum yum*
daddy was waitin for me at de taxi stand. it was only when i see de Sun outside did i realize tat my eyes were freaking tired.
i slept de whole day, almost.
wonderful.
now, im still searchin for my specs at time coz i forgot abt my yet-to-be perfect eyesight.
i still cant get used to seein myself w/o specs at home when facin de mirror.
i think i look beta in specs at home lehz~~ haha!
lasik is wonderful.
cast off all de worries and side effects tat will occur yrs later.
get ur eyes lasik now :)

de same nite after i done my eyes checkup for lasik.
Me: mother, i going to lasik my eyes.. hoho~
Mum: how much izit?
Me: 4.2k..
Mum: u got so much money?
Me: dun haf la.. i only got 2k from the insurance premium, the other 2k hor.. u help me borrow frm grandma 1st then i pay her back every month..
Mum: in that case, can u juz operate on 1 eye?
y.bro: operate on 1 eye then for wat?? how she going to wear her specs? be pirate ahh?
Mum: then can u dun operate and finish ur studies 1st?
Me: i had alrdy set tis as my target since last yr. to u, it may be sudden coz i nv mention abt it. but for me, it had been a yr. i dun care, i alrdy confirm the slot w/ doctor and i will be going for it.

Colleague L: so u confirm going for de lasik ah?
Me: Ya, i alrdy confirmed the slot w/ the pax in charge. i dun care.. i muz go~
Colleague L: how much izit?
Me: 4.2 k..
Colleague L: so expensive ahh.. u payin all by urself?
Me: ermm.. 2K will be from my insurance premiums. i wana get my mama to borrow another 2k from my grandma but she dun want.. dun care~ see how lor..
Colleague L: ehh.. if u cant get de other 2k, how?
Me: dunno lehz.. i nv think abt it. i will find my own ways.. i dun care lor.. where got such a mother? ur whole family wana sponsor u for de lasik but look how negative my mama shows when i told her abt it. not supportive lor..

Me: got ahh~ i saved up alrdy.. juz tat i nv expect myself to go studyin.. 1st instalment alrdy paid off $2k+..

Me: got ahh~! i got backed up~~ but my 2nd instalment comin.. around $1.5k.. which i need to pay around sep.. wah laoz.. sianz lor~

i cant believe tat someone is lendin me money~ alrite, coz in my past 23 yrs, i had nv borrowed any amount higher than $100.. but tis time is 2k~!! and my colleague is so willing to help~
yaya, i think some of u will "scold" me for bein very insensible.
i could haf postponed de lasik thingy. afterall, to me.. borrowin $$ is de last thing i will like to do.. since i will feel indebted to my creditors. dun be surprised there are ppl who borrow and nv return.. act blur.. act ah-siao.. MIA~ aiyah~ v hateful ppl.. and im definitely not 1 of them.. haha!
so dun worry, I WILL PAY BACK MY COLLEAGUE. :)
I WILL NEVER POSTPONE GOING FOR LASIK. :p
ppl out there got no idea how much i feel affected by tis cornea ulcer, wearing specs 24/7..
oh ya~ and when my nick said, "my eyes feel so bloated, very uncomfortable lehz~".. it was referrin to the water retention due to drinkin of water b4 sleep and prolly the cold weather.
so when jw came and ask me wat happen to my eyes, i thot it was a fine gesture..
but later, it comes clear tat he thot sth happens to my eyes again coz i got a "past history".
tat doesnt feel gd.. im once again reminded of my unique eyes..

i shld do an announcement here.
i mean it..
pre-celebrated leeli's bday on Fri and as usual, we always get ourselves into problems abt de after-programs. leeli said she is gng St James Modiva to join her colleagues and well.. coz i feel tat it is her bday.. we shld at least you noe.. accede to her decision. anyway, i hvnt been to St James and of coz i dun mind gng since Stars Awards was held there last yr.. haha!
i dunno why but my emotions was embedded deeply tis time. i felt scared each time i encounter such crowded places which i dun haf gd feelings for.. then i will hold onto my frenz hand or juz sth on her tat i can grab on.. i feel insecure, lost, helpless.. i think if u throw me onto a desert, i wont feel tat much of helpless and insecurity. *lolZ*
so anyway, dragonfly looks cool while modiva is simply too crowded. when i eventually got myself a place to sit on, time passed faster.. coz i kept my focus on those performancers on stage.
dancing dun suit ppl who cant even coordinate their hands and legs well.. and hmm.. i dun like to haf ppl pushin me.. so of coz, i wont make any attempt to push ppl, regardless of whether it was intentional. so ya, in de end, u might think tat since i dunno how to dance, i dun nid such a big space.. yeah right. i juz nid a place to sit.
